Better Days

Ezra snuggling his frog

Life is so much better when you get to hold your baby. Also when Dr. Mann, the plastic surgeon, stops by and says “next week if things are going well with everything else we can talk about you guys going home”. Yay!
We still have to make sure everything is ok Neuro-wise and run the other test for urology etc. but the words “going home” from one of Ezra’s doctors sounds great.

I feel much more comfortable handling Ezra now. For a while I felt like if I even thought about holding or moving him it would cause his back to open and we would have to start over. Silly I know, but I was so paranoid about his back. Just being able to hold him, move him around and being told everything is great has relieved a lot of that stress.
Ezra’s head keeps growing, which means that it is filling with fluid. He is alright right now but it just means that a shunt will more than likely happen. He has another ultrasound on Monday and we will see from there.
We know that God is working miracles in Ezra’s life already.  We are so blessed that he is healing so well and we know that this is all God and we thank everyone for lifting him and our family up in prayers. I know we wouldn’t be this far with out the prayers and God’s blessings. So thank you so much. Continue to pray that he keeps on healing.

    Lauren,
I am so glad to be able to hear about your hospital stay and check in on sweet Ezra here. It helps to know how to pray for you also. It all seems so recent in my mind that I relate to so much of what you are going through. Glad his back is healing well and didn’t open up – that was drama for us! Thinking of you as you face the second surgery on Wednesday!
